Labour Party Chairman and Member of Parliament for Wansbeck in Northumberland, Ian Lavery, helped to launch Labour’s fresh, new approach to tackling climate change and investing in deindustrialised communities – the Green Industrial Revolution.

Alongside the community organising unit and the Shadow Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy – Rebbecca Long-Bailey, Mr Lavery thanked people for attending the event in Morecambe; “Thank you to Labour members and activists in Morecambe for a very warm welcome! It was an honour to join my friend and shadow cabinet colleague Rebecca Long Bailey at the launch of Labour’s Green Industrial Revolution.”

“We’ve got such an exciting vision of a new industrial revolution in the U.K. powered by green energy, investing in de-industrialised working class communities and a commitment to reverse the growing climate crisis.”
