Ian Lavery MP joined Northumbrian Paralympian Stephen Miller at Ashington Leisure Centre to help launch the start of a life-changing project, helping young people and those living with disabilities to access sports and activities.

Mr Lavery said;

“This morning I was lucky enough to be invited to the launch of SMILE Through Sport at Ashington leisure centre, where the amazing and life-changing work being done by this organisation received the support of highly decorated and talented Northumbrian Paralympian Stephen Miller MBE”.

“It’s so important that those living with a disability of any kind are shown from a young age that with the proper support, encouragement and investment any obstacle can be overcome. We must all work hard to show these amazing and determined kids that they can achieve the incredible and make their dreams come true!”
