Following a meeting with representatives of the National Education Union, Ian Lavery, Member of Parliament for Wansbeck said;

“A very positive and productive meeting with representatives of the newly amalgamated National Education Union. In addition to discussing the ongoing campaign against School Cuts and effect on teachers and resources in Northumberland, it was great to also talk about my plans for a new initiative to tackle the increase in Child Poverty here in Wansbeck.”

Mr Lavery said: “Thanks to Mike and Amy from the NEU for coming to talk about the report I have commissioned from the House of Commons. I am Looking forward to working closer together to tackle the shameful impact Child Poverty has on our communities.”
